Marvin Thomas Sadler, 93, a longtime resident of Granville County passed away Friday, April 4, 2014 at VA Hospital in Durham.

A native of Granville County, the son of the late Thomas Turner Sadler and Blanche Wagstaff Sadler. He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, an army veteran, farmed for many years and worked at Waste Industries Convenient Site at Wilton.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM Sunday, April 6th 2014 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church by Dr. Marc Tilley. Burial will be at Gray Rock Methodist Church Cemetery in Kittrell.

Surviving are a daughter, Ellen Sadler Averette of Creedmoor, two sons, Ralph Marvin Sadler (Lesa) and Paul Wayne Sadler(Candace), both of Creedmoor, four grandchildren, Mei Averette ,Casey Averette, Elliott Averette , Brian Sadler and two great grandchildren, Liam Sadler, Jordan Averette,and a special sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Betty and Harold Puckett.He was preceded in death by his wife Doris Woodlief Sadler, a sister, FarissAverette, two brothers, John L. Sadler, Grady L. Sadler,his son-in-law David H. Averette and special friend Dorothy Adcock.

Flowers accepted or memorials may be made to Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, P.O. Box 745, Creedmoor, NC 27522.

Visitation will beheld Sunday, April 6th 2014 from 1:30-2:45PM prior to the service and at other times at the home of Ellen Averette.
